The fabric used for the Velvet Trombetta Pant is an incredibly soft, versatile, and luminous smooth velvet. We found this fabric after a year of searching, as it had to meet very specific requirements, including not deteriorating with daily use and being dyeable in every shade. The Pant is extremely comfortable, and the classic Trombetta shape ensures all its versatility and wearability. Pockets, very deep, and waistband finished with hand stitching: the running stitch. Soft elastic at the back: extreme wearability. Hem at the bottom entirely covered with viscose crepe and finished with hand stitches, to balance the drape of the trousers: the "rimesso" (understitch). Seams on the sides finished with viscose crepe: the bias binding. They mark the boundary between tailoring and approximation. Is it madness? No, it's love. Almost invisible seam at the bottom to make its line perfectly straight: the topstitching. The block print: entirely manual, entirely poetic, entirely precious, entirely difficult. Artfully placed all over the trousers. The pigment is metallic and textured: wearing these trousers is like wearing a painting or the poetry of a peeling wall.
