How can a coat be light? Yes, if it is made of the sustainable lightness of Indian khadi cotton, the certified one, that is, spun and woven by hand, then it is born to not make you feel hot, giving you that allure of covered arms, relaxation, and length. The Light Coat was the first wearable oxymoron of Raptus & Rose. Every year, at the beginning of summer, we offer a limited edition. This year we took 6 much-loved prints from the Perfecto Dress – 3 floral and 3 animalier – and transferred them to the lightest coat in the world, combining the main fabric with that of the strap, and calibrating the placement of the design millimeter by millimeter. The pairs are: 🐾 Alchemical Armadillo and 🌸 Japan Bloom 🦓 Philosopher's Zebra and 🌻 Florabilia 🐆 Mystic Cheetah and 🌹 Queen Rose ✂ The shape is flared, with side slits and deep pockets. 🧵 Hand-stitched all around, so thick it's almost nighttime to count, and internal French seams. To ignore these sartorial details would mean taking away lightness (hand-stitched hems and flatlock seams are objectively lighter) and fit (the flared shape is the most feminine ever) from an object that was created to make you feel both divine and comfortable.
