Double-breasted linen jacket with tulle and lurex embroidery. It's a jacket built on a balance of contrasts: the opaqueness of the linen versus the luminosity of the embroidery; the masculine lines versus the feminine embroidery and details; the minimalism of the mother-of-pearl buttons versus the sumptuousness of the embroidered tulle. Whether the jacket is worn open or closed, the embroidery design remains intact. No, it's not magic, but poetic geometry: the placement of the embroidery was meticulously studied, creating a third fabric that previously didn't exist: linen, tulle, and lurex. Its inspiration comes from the men's jacket of the 1930s. Hollowed out and reconstructed, it retains its elegant allure but is enriched with a new sense of femininity. Desires twist around her, unfold, ripple, rise to power, and travel. Her interior is empty, and she has the comfort of a shirt. The two-hole flat mother-of-pearl buttons, also found on the cuffs, are three and can be opened. It has two vents at the bottom of the back, a detail derived from English tradition. The peak collar is joined with a fly stitch: a sartorial and entirely handcrafted detail, almost invisible, but essential for maintaining the collar's shape. The stitching along the edges is visible and hand-sewn. The pocket flaps can be tucked inside the pocket itself, creating a flush fit. The position of the shoulder seam is a key aspect of the Travel Jacket. It's not on the shoulder, but on the back; it's the detail that allows the shoulder to be dressed, enveloping it rather than simply covering it.
