A lightweight coat, Raptus&Rose's most beloved oxymoron. Flared, gathered at the waist, with side slits and deep pockets, finished with meters of hand stitching, it's the perfect ally for any outfit: from the most eccentric to the most chic, from the rocker to the most casual. The Jane Austen Coat is made from an entire sari fabric, or rather 5 meters of fabric transformed into a coat; every square inch of the original fabric was preserved and each portion was positioned with obsessive attention to detail on the pattern. A design and sartorial challenge. The fabric for this coat, with micro ikat dye inserts, comes from an assiduous research trip to India and is woven on handlooms. It's difficult to find sari cottons crafted with such refinement and preciousness, because saris, made for ceremonies, are usually brocade and not soft. Pure magic!
