Anyone seeking understated elegance cannot fail to conjure up the image of Audrey Hepburn in the little black dress she wore in the classic 1961 film Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

With her natural poise and grace, Audrey Hepburn enhances the dress elevating its clean minimal lines to iconic status, with the sort of appeal that, even in a style capital like New York, has never been bettered.

Inspired by this image, this is our homage to that inimitable screen goddess and the distinctive neckline of the classic little number every one of us has dreamed of having in our wardrobe.
The dream has come true in the Raptus & Rose Audrey with its signature boat neckline enhanced by the use of jersey for the bodice.

The shallow midriff band, also in jersey, draws the eye to the skirt where creativity reigns supreme with a dazzling choice of fabrics, from silk, to material reclaimed from vintage garments, to cotton and embroidered kantha.
The last of these has given its name to the Audrey Kantha model which is also distinctive for the darts at the front of the skirt, creating a slightly “bubble” effect.

All this style still springs from the Raptus & Rose golden rule: 3 different fabrics must go into the frock that clothes the body and looks great on the wearer all through the day, and beyond.
If you too occasionally fantasise about an all American breakfast of coffee and muffins, gazing at all those fabulous jewels, we’re ready to make your dream come true and create your very own Audrey.
